पर्थ में ऑस्ट्रेलिया के खिलाफ खेले जा रहे पहले टेस्ट मैच में भारतीय बल्लेबाज़ केएल राहुल के आउट होने को लेकर सोशल मीडिया पर हंगामा मच गया भारतीय पारी के 23वें ओवर में 26 रन बनाकर खेल रहे केएल राहुल को थर्ड अंपायर के विवादित फैसले के बाद पवेलियन लौटना पड़ा।
घटना तब हुई जब गेंद राहुल के बल्ले के पास से गुज़री और विकेटकीपर एलेक्स कैरी ने कैच पकड़ लिया। ऑन-फील्ड अंपायर ने इसे नॉट-आउट करार दिया, लेकिन ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने DRS लेकर दावा किया कि बल्ले का किनारा लगा था।
रिव्यू में स्निको पर हल्का स्पाइक दिखा, जिससे यह संकेत मिला कि गेंद बल्ले को छू सकती है। लेकिन फ्रंट-ऑन एंगल में यह स्पष्ट नहीं हो पाया कि आवाज बल्ले से आई थी या पैड से। इसके बावजूद, थर्ड अंपायर ने इसे आउट करार दिया, जिसे राहुल ने बेहद नाराज़गी के साथ स्वीकार किया। उन्होंने चलते समय अंपायर से असहमति जताई और सिर हिलाते हुए पवेलियन लौटे।

On-field umpire’s decision not-out. Was there conclusive evidence to overturn the decision? Bat hit the pad for sure…visible confirmation…then why not two spikes on the Ultra-Edge? Ridiculous umpiring from the box…
